Nestled in Vermont’s Green Mountains and formerly known as Suicide Six, Saskadena Six is one of the oldest ski areas in the country. America's first uphill ski conveyance was introduced in Woodstock in 1934 and as the sport developed so did our resort.
Hit the slopes at one of North America’s oldest ski resorts! We have accessible terrain for families, plus challenging options for advanced skiers and riders. Add that to our world-class snow sports school, sprinkle in excellent snowmaking and grooming, finish it off with a fun après ski atmosphere, and you have a recipe for winter adventure!

Settle in and enjoy the old-world atmosphere of Richardson's Tavern where you can savor your favorite appetizer or light local fare. Richardson’s Tavern is where spirits come alive and warm conversation brings people together. A charming atmosphere, friendly service and full bar make this an excellent place to unwind with friends or colleagues, or meet someone altogether new.
Perley Wheeler was the original lodge keeper at Suicide Six. His bushy white beard punctuated by a hand carved wooden pipe was the familiar sight that greeted guests both on and off the hill. As an homage to Pearly, our seated restaurant and lounge offers a variety of selections chosen by our Master Chef to keep your fire stoked, and our newly installed six-tap system will feature local brews to help you get to the heart of après ski.
